The 2023 NBA Draft featured some of the most buzzed about future Pros in recent history.

The 2023 NBA Draft featured some of the most buzzed about future Pros in recent history. With talents like Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson involved, this red carpet promised to be one for the books. The prospects stepped out in style that lived up to the hype. The red carpet showcased both unique colors, prints, and textures and some sleek, classic looks. Here is our recap of some of the standout fits.

Victor Wembanyama

The French phenom and first overall pick chose to represent his country in all French designers. The clean lines of his Louis Vuitton look kept it classic, but the color of the suit and double-breasted wrap effect of the jacket provided a special twist. Wembanyama mentioned on the red carpet that the green was “alien-like” in an apparent reference to Lebron James calling him an alien for his skill set. His necklace contained bismuth, which he stated isn’t a precious or expensive stone but is beautiful and alien-like. The soon-to-be San Antonio Spur added J.M. Weston shoes and described the whole fit as “looking like me.”

Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller was chosen second overall in a grey and red plaid three-piece suit. The look was designed by Clarence Jones of CJ’s Custom Clothiers in Memphis, Tennessee. The team decided on a University of Alabama theme for the night. Miller’s jacket lining featured photos of himself playing for the Crimson Tide and a shout-out to his college accolades including his selection as SEC Player of the Year. The details of his fit included an iced-out chain, a charm bracelet, and a red pocket square.

Scoot Henderson

Scoot Henderson outfit during the 2023 NBA Draft was a touching nod to the Pros player's big family. Scoot isoOne of seven siblings and says the detailing on his custom Indochino suit at the draft was designed by his sister China Henderson-PetersThe intricate rhinestone pattern symbolizes his family tree."My sister did a great job designing this," he says, adding that his sister and her company Mix of Luxe have styled him for multiple red carpets."It's basically a tree, and all of the colors on here are my family's gemstones and some birthstones," he says, pointing to his jacket's detailing on the red carpet at Thursday's draft.

Amen Thompson

Ausar Thompson

The second of the history-making duo, Ausar Thompson, got the call from the Detroit Pistons wearing a navy version of the double-breasted suit. He added brown, leather Chelsea boots and a floral lapel pin. Waraire Boswell designed the coordinating suits to symbolize the brothers’ individuality and different paths while also acknowledging their ties as identical twins. The result was a crisp, classic look that didn’t distract from the twins’ unique draft moment.

Anthony Black

Anthony Black from Arkansas was the next player drafted. He walked across the stage in a dark navy, double-breasted Dolce and Gabbana suit. Black’s jacket featured a contrasting black lapel that continued down the side. The lace shirt worn underneath was emblematic of Dolce and Gabbana’s house codes and was a memorable detail to complete the otherwise classic look. The Orlando-bound athlete topped off his fit with chunky, black boots and two diamond chains.

Bilal Coulibaly

Bilal Coulibaly was traded to the Wizards and ended up wearing his team’s colors on the red carpet. The French athlete chose a navy suit, white shirt, and red tie that represented his future landing spot well. The small details stood out in his fit. His family members’ names were embroidered on the red paisley lining of his blazer. A red, printed pocket square, detailed buttons, and a single bracelet by Zo Frost & Co completed Coulibaly’s look.

Jarace Walker

Former Houston Cougar, Jarace Walker, was next with the eighth overall pick. Dressed by Neiman Marcus of Beverly Hills, he selected a Made-to Measure Zegna look. The tan, double-breasted suit was paired with a white cashmere knit underneath and bright, white sneakers. He accessorized with plenty of diamonds. This included a chain shaped like the ‘man walking’ emoji, a large bracelet, and an iced-out Rolex watch by Zo Frost & Co.

Taylor Hendricks

Taylor Hendricks made a statement in bubblegum pink while being selected by the Jazz. The UCF product was dressed by Dolvini Bespokes. The lining of his jacket was customized with photos of his family, his younger days playing basketball, and his college team. Details included a matching pink silk shirt and white Alexander McQueen sneakers. He made history as the first UCF basketball player to be drafted in the first round in memorable style.

Cason Wallace

Cason Wallace traded his Kentucky blue for a red and black three-piece suit on draft night. His look was styled by Sami Jenks of Elevee Lifestyle. The tenth overall pick repped his northern Dallas, Texas neighborhood, Hamilton Park, with HPT embroidered all over his blazer. The inside of the jacket displayed photos of his family. He completed the fit with diamond chains, a red bow tie, and Louis Vuitton sunglasses.

Gradey Dick

One of the most talked about looks of the draft came from Grady Dick. The former Jayhawk drew from his Kansas roots and chose a Wizard of Oz theme for his suit. The Dolce and Gabbana look featured a red sequined, double breasted blazer with large shoulder pads paired with a matching turtleneck. Continuing the ‘ruby slipper’ theme, Dick picked out a pair of red bottoms from Christian Louboutin.

Kobe Bufkin

Kobe Bufkin, former Michigan Wolverine, will be taking his talents down south, and he chose a look that’s ready for the warmer weather. Bufkin rocked an off-white colored suit with no shirt. The number fifteen overall pick was styled by Julian Abdul in Alba Legacy. He added jewelry and a Louis Vuitton belt for statement. Bufkin’s accessories included a Van Cleef and Arpels bracelet, Cartier glasses, brown, suede Chelsea boots, and two diamond chains.

Keyonte George

Keyonte George wins most wild print of the night in his Alba Legacy suit. Styled by Julian Abdul, the Utah Jazz draft pick wore a burgundy and champagne printed suit with a burgundy silk shirt. The Baylor product decided on these colors because they were the colors of his high school. He punctuated the look with black, patent leather boots and pictures of his younger self in the lining of his blazer. George kept his jewelry simple with a pearl and diamond necklace and an iced out bracelet and watch.

The 2023 NBA draft class showed its range on the red carpet. From embellishment and embroidery to matching and multicolored, there was never a dull moment. The draftees expressed their creativity and introduced themselves to the world of the NBA. After this strong showing, we look forward to seeing the style the draftees bring to the tunnel this year.
