Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” is a special women’s colorway that acknowledges Michael Jordan’s 63 point performance against the Boston Celtics during a 1986 NBA Playoff game. The iconic Jordan 1 shoe was Michael’s shoe of choice on the day he set the NBA Playoff record for most points scored in a single game. That day, he wore the “Chicago” colorway. As for this design, the “Lucky Green” features buttery green tumbled leather overlays on the forefoot, eyelets, collar, and heel. The unstitched panels salute “progress, not perfection.” The same high-quality grain of leather can be found in white on the base of the upper. Shiny black leather Swoosh detailing appears on either side, and red “Wings” branding dots the Lucky Green leather overlay on the collar. A red “Nike Air” logo is printed onto the black nylon tongue. A final nod to Michael’s 63 point accomplishment comes in the form of wooden detailing printed onto the insoles. The look references the famous parquet floor of the old Boston Garden, where the Bulls vs. Celtics game took place. Release date: October 14, 2020.
