If you know anything about Ronnie Fieg, then you know he is a HUGE New York Knicks fan. The founder and CEO of Kith was born in New York and became a fan of the team at an early age when his father gifted him a Knicks t-shirt. Now that little boy is going to have the chance to do something that nobody has done before him, lead his favorite team as the first-ever creative director. Officially announced via Instagram Friday morning, this new role will see Fieg take on new responsibilities with the team and will focus on building a community around the Knicks international brand. He will also develop an in-house line of products and oversee extenuating creative around the team. The special announcement will culminate with Kith Night at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 11th when the team will debut the Kith-designed 2022-2023 City Edition Uniforms and City Edition Court. This year's City Edition Uniform takes inspiration from the 1999-2003 Knicks uniform, thus riding the gap between past and present.
This is not the first time that Fieg has collaborated with the Knicks, having done so on a numerous occasions over the past few years through his KITH brand. The Knicks will hold a pop-up inside Madison Square Garden showcasing all of the KITH for Knicks 2022 collection. As well, upon entry, every fan will find a collaborative towel created with the Knicks and Stella Artois on their seat. Concession stands throughout the arena will serve beverages in co-branded Kith for Knicks cups, and Kith Treats will be serving the Fiegster ice cream special to select seats. During breaks in the game, tees from the collection will be launched into the stands, in addition to a few other surprised in-store for attendees.
Make sure to get there early as doors open at 5:30PM EST to the public. The game beings at 7:30PM EST.
