A product of the ‘Star City’ aka Roanoke, Virginia, Troy Daniels was determined to show that sky's the limit for his basketball career. His high school career included two trips to the Virginia State Championship and Daniels decided to continue to represent the state by playing collegiately at VCU. Under coach Shaka Smart, Daniels and the Rams made it to the NCAA Final Four for his sophomore season. Playing all four years at VCU, Daniels sharp shooting made University and Conference history his senior season.
An undrafted free agent in the 2013 draft, Daniels’ professional journey began in the D-League. He made his professional debut with the Houston Rockets in 2014. Five teams in six years for Daniels, he found his longest NBA home with the Phoenix Suns in 2017. Averaging 18 minutes a game with continued sharpshooting in Phoenix helped make a sound argument for inking a $2.1 Million contract with the Lakers in 2019. Troy spent his 2020 season with the Denver Nuggets and is currently a free agent.
It’s all about quality for the fashionable shooting guard, who puts up big style points every game. Designer sneakers are a must for Daniels, who has an affinity to Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Giuseppe. It’s not all about the label for him though, he prides himself on putting together the best look for himself at a smart price point. Whether it be a two-piece suit or a casual jeans and button down style, the fit will always fall on the tighter side for Troy.
