Leonard Joseph Fournette III

Growing up in the 7th ward of New Orleans, Leonard Fournette looked to football to overcome adversity from a young age. When his family was forced to evacuate to Houston, Texas for a year, it was football that kept Fournette focused on a bright future. Heavily recruited in high school, Fournette was named Mr. Football in the state of Louisiana, as well as the number one running back in the state.
In three years with the Louisiana State University, was an All-American running back whose draft stock continued to rise. He finished his collegiate career with almost 3,830 rushing yards, the fourth most in LSU history. The 40 rushing touchdowns he finished with are the third most in school history.
- As a child he was diagnosed with a hormone deficiency, Barcelona FC helped pay his medical bills once he joined the club.
- He was red-carded just 47 seconds into his debut for Argentina.
- He’s a dual-citizen of Spain and Argentina, and had the chance to play for Spain but chose his home country.
