Kyle Terrell Lowry

Kyle Lowry was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He turned to basketball as an escape for a troubled neighborhood. By the time he finished high school, Kyle was a national recruit. Most scouts rated him a five-star player and one of the top in the nation. He committed to Villanova for his college career. He played two seasons at Villanova, earning All Big East honors both years. Kyle declared for the 2006 NBA Draft.
The Memphis Grizzlies claimed Kyle in the first round. He showed flashes of greatness in his rookie year, but an injury cut it short after 10 games. After three years in Memphis, Kyle was dealt to the Houston Rockets in 2009. Kyle made the playoffs once with the Rockets in three seasons. He was traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2012. Kyle blossomed in Toronto beside fellow Raptor DeMar DeRozan. in 2013-14 the duo led the Raptors to a franchise best record and playoff berth. The Raptors topped the franchise mark for wins twice more with Kyle running the point. He became an All-Star in 2015. In the 2017 offseason, Kyle signed his name to a $100 million contract.
