Jayson Christopher Tatum

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Jayson Tatum stole onto the national stage in high school. As a freshman, he won the Missouri District 2 title. He played in every major high school tournament in the nation. Before his senior year, he was already committed to Duke University for his college ball. Jayson was named the 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year. In his one year at Duke, he led them to an ACC Tournament championship. After a second round loss in the NCAA Tournament, he declared for the 2017 NBA Draft.
The Boston Celtics stole Jayson with the third pick of the draft. He went on to record a double double in his NBA debut. With him in the starting line-up, the Celtics marched into the playoffs as the second seed in the East. He recorded another double-double in his playoff debut. After winning two playoff series, Jayson and the Celtics bowed out in the Eastern Conference Finals. Jayson earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors, and praise from the mighty LeBron James.
