JaVale Lindy McGee
A product of Flint...
Michigan, JaVale McGee was born into basketball. His mother and father were both professionals. He was a standout in high school by all accounts. The 6'10" forward caught the attention of ESPN and the nation when he transferred high schools. JaVale would only get bigger, in fame and frame.
After a stellar high school campaign, JaVale took his talents to the University of Nevada. He grew two inches, put up elite numbers and declared for the draft after two years. In 2008 he was the 18th pick of the NBA draft. Known around the league for his hops and dunks, JaVale became known for more in 2016. He became a world champion with the Golden State Warriors. A year later, he was a back-to-back champion.

- In 2013, OWN developed a show starring McGee and his mother called ‘Momma’s Million Dollar Boy.’
