Born in Palo Alto, CA...
While the Minnesota Vikings would eventually become the storied rival for Green Bay Packers’ Davante Adams, he once donned a Vikings uniform as a high school student in Palo Alto, California. The two-way player led his team to a state title his senior year, securing a plethora of recruiting letters. Sticking to his northern California roots, Davante chose to play collegiately at Fresno State. Dominating as a true freshmen, Adams led the Mountain West Conference in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Additionally he was the conference's Freshman of the year and the MVP of the team’s Hawaii bowl. His second season capitalized off his early successes, ending the season as the nation’s leader in receptions and touchdowns. Declaring for the NFL Draft was a natural transition for Adams, who had set FBS and University records in just two seasons.
A second-round selection by the Green Bay Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft landed Davante Adams in Title Town, USA. While he was No.3 receiver on the Packers as a rookie, Adams had the league talking about his ability to make an impact on a stacked receiving corps. As Adams continued to build behind the receiving “stars” on the Packers, his talent was recognized on a national scale in 2017. He was named to his first ProBowl. His elite performances, especially with the absence of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, secured a 4-year contract extension with the Packers.
Davante’s style can be described as a polished version of a relaxed California fashion. Distressed Amiri jeans with designer hoodies and flannels are staples for Davante’s pregame looks. When he does reach for the custom-tailored suits, Davante has fun with the look, often incorporating bright colors and patterns into his fashion game.
- Basketball was his first love but when the scholarship offers started rolling in for football he decided to commit himself to the gridiron.
- His first trip to NYC was in 2016 and was documented by Vice Sports
