Chad Johnson Ochocinco
Born in Miami, Florida
The last of the divas. Chad Johnson, aka “Ochocinco” was truly the last of his kind.
Out of Oregon State, Johnson was drafted 36th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2001 NFL Draft. Just two years after his drafting, Johnson would lead the AFC in receiving yards (and do it four times in a row. On the field, he was a stellar talent, but most people will remember him for his off-field antics.
From “The List,” to the name changes, to the celebrations. This one-of-a-kind entertainer was exactly that, an entertainer. To the love of the fans and disdain of the NFL. Throughout his NFL career he went to six Pro Bowls, was a three-time All-Pro, and led the NFL in receiving yards in 2006.
Johnson is a big fan of fashion, as well. He’s a brand ambassador of Adidas, and is seen regularly in high-fashion such as Gucci and Fendi.
- Known for infamously changing his name to Ochocinco, Johnson actually had it changed back to Johnson in 2012.
- He almost changed his last name again in 2010 to “Hachi Go” which is 8-5 in Japanese, but never went through with it.
- He changed his name back to Johnson to “reconnect with his former self.”
