2019 NFL Training Camp: Arriving In Style

NFL standouts around the league are taking their training camp arrivals to the next level

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt ride a bike to practice for a joint training camp practice with the Green Bay Packers outside Lambeaun Field on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, in Green Bay.

Bombastic arrivals to training camp have been a tradition for many NFL veterans for years.

Arguably the all-time king of statement entrances, then Indianapolis Colts wide-out, Reggie Wayne, once pulled up in a dump truck. Instead of using the moment to promote his own brand or sport something exceptionally fly, he used his style to help sell the costume. Of course, Reggie’s custom hard-hat and high-vis vest weren’t exactly high fashion.

Another memorable arrival out of Pittsburgh circa 2012, was former Steelers offensive lineman, Brett Keisel, who pulled up for work after an hour commute… in his tractor. Brett used the spotlight to promote his brand Da Beard, rocking a hat & shirt from his line.

Speaking of former Steelers, the award for 2019’s most extravagant entrance has to go to Oakland Raiders mega star receiver, Antonio Brown. Of course, AB is no stranger to strutting his style at training camp. In 2015, Brown pulled up to Steelers camp in a custom, $350,000 Rolls Royce Phantom.

This year? Brown one-upped his own history-making arrivals by landing – yes, landing – at Raiders camp in a hot air balloon. The true professional that Antonio is, Brown was personally styled in a Supreme Raiders hoodie & beanie, ready for the inevitable photo op.

But AB wasn’t the only superstar this year to ‘touch-down’ in a cool and creative way.

The 2019 NFL season is here. And with it, a style among its elite that has proven to be so much more than fashion already. From armored trucks, to Nascars, to semis & slingshots… we at ProTrending wanted to be the first to show a few of our favorites!

Antonio Brown, WR // Oakland Raiders // Hot Air Balloon

“Float like a butterfly, sting like AB…” The perennial fantasy first rounder enjoyed the view from high atop Napa Valley in HBO’s first episode of “Hard Knocks” this year.

Jalen Ramsey, CB // Jacksonville Jaguars // Brinks Armored Truck

Tarik Cohen, RB // Chicago Bears // Slingshot

Chicago Bears’ Tarik Cohen reported to camp in Bourbonnais Thursday, showing off his sleek moves and passion for cars in a Batman-esque silver three-wheeler.

Anthony Sherman, FB // Kansas City Chiefs // NASCAR Ford Mustang

“If you’re not first… you’re last.” Anthony Sherman echoes the teachings of the great Ricky Bobby, pulling into Chiefs camp with one thing on his mind –  helping his Kansas City teammates repeat as AFC West Champs.

Eli Rogers, CB // Pittsburgh Steelers // Semi Truck

Nothing says blue collar than a semi truck. Eli Rogers brings his lunchpail and a black & yellow Steeler attitude to day 1 of Pittsburgh’s training camp.
